Riesling

Widely regarded as one of the world’s most noble white wine varietals by wine experts, Riesling is also, with its reputation for being overly sweet, one of the most misunderstood. However while this may be the case for some varieties, a lot of Rieslings, especially those from Alsace, Australia and South Africa tend to be much drier a lot more aromatic.

Tasting notes: This varies from wine to wine but generally, Rieslings carry fruity aromas of peaches, apricots and pears, as well as floral notes. It is also not uncommon to get a whiff of spicy, gingery undertones.

Pairing suggestions: Fish, seafood, Asian dishes
