Umberto Fiore

Fiore winery was born in Gattinara in 1880 thanks to Pietro Fiore.

An ancient note made on the old note-book of Fiore’s House (dated 16th May 1880) says: “Sold to Mr Barbero of Trivero a barrel of Gattinara’s wine of our ownership at Lire 24 each brenta (unit of measure of those times which corresponds to 50 litres)…”.

In 1920 it became with Ercole Fiore the supplier of the Royal Savoia’s House. In 1950 Umberto Fiore took the leadership of the winery and he turned it from a familiar farm into a dynamical society able to work both locally and nationally. Since then the farm grew and it entered the most important international markets.

At the beginning of 90’s Manfredi’s family in Farigliano (CN) bought it and here, in the heart of Langhe, the wines of the ancient Fiore’s winery hold on with their history of qualitative excellence.
